Whether constructed from blocks, natural stones, bricks, or textured concrete, retaining walls can be used to accentuate pool areas, patios, and even outdoor kitchens. They can be used to create privacy and to create barriers between the patio and lawn or the gardens and walkway. You can even add planter boxes to them, maybe a bench or two, and for those cool fall evenings, including an outdoor fireplace within your wall is just the thing you will want to have to keep you and your guests warm and toasty.
