Redoing the deck, patio or any other hardscape of your home offers the exciting prospect of having the space done exactly the way you want. While the end-product will undoubtedly be fit the bill, there are some minor inconveniences that will have to be endured. Here is what to look out for:
Some Noise – Even a minor renovation will create some extra noise, but it’s usually confined to first stages of the project when demolition is done. Afterward, during the construction phase, noise will be regular but limited in scope.
More Dust – Again, demolition creates a lot of dust but reputable contractors will build a barrier wall to contain the dust and eliminate any contamination of the rest of your home.
A Little Less Access – By their nature, hardscapes generally run into one or more entryways to a home. While you will be inconvenienced for a day or two, your contractor and you can devise a schedule to keep the hassle to a minimum.
