Beautiful Deck Jets to Complement any Pool

Deck Jets for Pool Patio

Your pool is more like a destination than a single element in your yard. It can be so much more than a large hole with water where you can swim. With the right elements, it can be a beautiful oasis in which you love to spend time, whether you are in the water or not. Not only can you choose beautiful materials to make the pool look sophisticated and luxurious, but you can also choose accessory elements to give the pool more flair, from lighting to tanning ledges. Let’s Talk Today!

Among the most popular upgrades for pools right now are water jets, which are sometimes referred to as deck jets. These jets are placed around the pool’s deck, and they spout in an arc into the water. Some pools can benefit from the addition of just one deck jet, but many enjoy a greater benefit from several deck jets placed in the right location and pattern.

Pool deck jetsThe hardscaping experts at Triad Associates are experienced in installing deck jets, and they have the design expertise to help you get the right effect from the jets. They’ll help you explore all the options for the placement of your jets, as well as other hardscaping elements that can be used in conjunction to bring out the best in your pool.

Here are just a few of the options you can choose from to get the most out of deck jets for your pool:

Lighted Jets

Deck jets are simply spouts of water at their most basic. However, you can easily upgrade them in numerous ways. One of the simplest is to add lighting to them. The light is installed at the base of the jet, making it appear as if glowing. The light also creates an ambient glow for the setting, making it more beautiful and inviting.

Simply adding lighted jets in the right location can elevate the look of your pool and make your space more enjoyable.

Colored Jets

Plain lighting isn’t your only option for deck jets. You can choose from lighting in a variety of colors to create some interesting effects. For example, you can light up a row of deck jets in the colors of the rainbow, creating a fun and vibrant look. Or you can choose colors in a single palette, such as blues or greens that match the aesthetic of the pool. Or maybe you are partial to pinks and purples to give your pool more of a fantasy vibe.

You can play with the use of color, either in a single palette or in contrasting or patterned colors to create interesting looks. Our designers will help you explore the options based on your preferences and the overall aesthetic of your pool.

Placement Patterns

Pool deck jetsThere are many ways that you can have deck jets installed around your pool, and your decision will have a big impact on how they look. For example, you may place a line of deck jets along one side of your pool, creating a uniform and regal look. Or you may place a line of deck jets along both sides of your pool, creating a more interesting and sophisticated look.

The jets can also be placed so that they overlap. For example, the arcs that they create may cross each other. Add lighting and the cross looks even more dramatic. Add a line of colored and crossing arcs down the length of your pool, and you’ve created a breathtaking result.

Remember that you can create an interesting look with as little as two deck jets, depending on where they are located. Our expert designers will help you determine how to get the most from your deck jets with the right placement. We’ll also use sketches and 3D design software to help you visualize the different options. You may not even realize what is possible with your pool until you see it for yourself.

Low and High Arcs

A lot of times, when we think about deck jets, we think about high arcs, leaping gracefully over the pool. While that is one option that creates a beautiful look, it is by no means the only option. You can experiment with different heights for the arc of the deck jets, each resulting in different looks.

Lower jet arcs create a more elegant and subdued result, similar to a reflective fountain. The higher the arc of the jet, the more dramatic the effect. Higher arcs will also result in more noise as the water splashes back into the pool. For some, that rhythmic noise can be quite soothing. For others, it can be too distracting. Consider all of these issues when determining the kind of jet design you want to choose.

Rotating Jets

Who says that a single arcing jet is your only option? Some deck jets are designed to rotate around, creating a more dramatic and jubilant effect. The water splashes around, almost in a pinwheel motion. These kinds of deck jets are great for pools where kids will come to swim often. Kids will love running through the erratic spray.

But even if you don’t have a lot of kids coming to your pool, you might still like this kind of jet for the fun atmosphere it creates. You can also enjoy getting a little spray when you are tanning and need to cool down a little but don’t want to jump back in the pool.

Bubbling Jets

We’ve seen that not all deck jets arc. But it’s also worth noting that some of them never really spray at all. Some are set to a very low pressure that allows them to bubble up just a few inches beyond the tip of the jet and then fall back down to the deck. The effect of this is to create a bubbling jet that creates an interesting look and a wet surface.

These deck jets are great for creating a splash pad-type environment that is perfect for kids. The jets can be installed on the actual deck or at a shallow point in the pool, such as in a beach entry or on a tanning ledge. Again, even if you don’t have kids coming to your pool, you might still like this type of jet to spruce up the beach entry or tanning ledges of your pool.

In Conjunction with Other Elements

Pool patio with deck jets and water fallsThere are a lot more elements that you can add to your pool, such as fire features, columns, fountains, and more. You can combine deck jets with some of these elements to create a truly stunning look. For example, you could have a fire element on the side of your pool, and a deck jet could arc over it, framing it nicely. Or you could have a fountain installed in the middle of your pool, and deck jets could be positioned to arc into it. Or you could have deck jets installed in the fountain, shooting out into the pool water.

There are so many ways that you can use deck jets in conjunction with other pool elements to create a beautiful space for your home, and our designers will help you explore all your options.
